Welcome

Welcome to www.HowToWheelie.info, where information and tutorials about how to wheelie a motorcycle are collected from around the web, organized, and made available, all on one website. We have attempted to give credit to the original authors of all the instructional copy and video tutorials found on this website and want to thank them for sharing this information both with us and with you.

That said, this website is for your research and educational purposes only, and is not accountable for what you do with any information posted on this website. Wheelies are inherently dangerous stunts (and are illegal on public streets, parking lots, and elsewhere) so do not attempt to do this stunt, or any other stunt, while at home or in public.

The 3 Basic Ways to Learn How to Wheelie a Motorcycle:

The ‘Wheelie Machine’ – The ‘Wheelie Machine’ is a stationary platform (usually towed to location on a trailer) to which a motorcycle is bolted and is used as a training tool for beginning riders to safely practice wheelies, without ‘looping’ or stalling the motorcycle because the motorcycle is stationary and the bike never touches the road. While most people do not have access to a Wheelie Machine, this is arguably one of safest ways to get used to popping the clutch to get the bike up on one wheel, shifting gears while riding a wheelie, and working on throttle control in order to find your balance point.

Wheelie Teach

The ‘Wheelie Teach’ – The ‘Wheelie Teach’ is an aftermarket product (think ‘training wheels’) made to fit on your own motorcycle so you dont have to worry about looping your motorcycle over backwards, while learning to do wheelies. The unit has 3 settings. The first setting just lets you get a feel for bringing the front wheel off the ground. The second setting allows for longer ‘power wheelies’. The third setting allows you to go slightly behind the balance point so you learn where it is, so you can begin actually ‘riding’ wheelies.

Growing Some Balls and Grabbing Some Throttle – If you don’t have access to a ‘Wheelie Machine’ or a ‘Wheelie Teach’, then you may want to carefully peruse the most extensive section of our website, where anyone from professional stuntmen to the neighbor kid shares with you what they know about wheelies.
